Can mental and physical disabilities be detected on an unborn fetus?

And if so, what kinds of disabilities are detected? How are they detected and when?

Some physical ones can. Not all, but some. Mental disabilities only can if there are other physical attributes to indicate them -- for example, an underdeveloped fetal brain, or the diagnosis of another condition known to cause intellectual disability. You cannot, for example, diagnose bipolar disorder in utero.
