Do cigarettes themselves cause cancer or is cancer caused from the close proximity of the flame to your face when lighting the cigarette?

It's the smoke and the tar that you coat your lungs with that cause the cancer.

It's not just cancer you have to worry about there are many other conditions inhaling tobacco causes. My husband was 48 when he died because he smoked for thirty years and then he had quit but he still had a brain aneurysm rupture and cerebral hemorrhage which the doctors said was caused by smoking. Inhaling that junk weakens the walls of your brain making them more it more susceptible to bleeding and also smoking causes aneurysms to form in your brain. Maybe stop kidding yourself.

Get a grip. Decades of scientific research show the damage nicotine does to the body, and the damage that inhaling smoke does to your lungs. if you're trying to justify vaping, forget it. It's still dangerous.

Tobacco contains multiple chemicals that cause cancer.

Burning tobacco and breathing in the smoke or chewing tobacco releases these chemicals into the body.
