Why don't companies offer sensors/tracking systems for a lost/stolen item?

I feel like it'd be the most beneficial to those who misplaced any small, hard to find items (i.e. stylus, keys, phone, etc.) vs wasting money, especially if it's knowingly close by.

Most tracking devices aren't even accurate in their findings, which almost feels pointless in itself.

It costs money to include that technology. I can tell you I wouldn't want to pay extra for such a feature. I don't lose things often enough.

Why do you not invent this device and sell it to the companies.

    it will solve two problems

#1 people will be able to find things and

#2 You will have more money.
