Brexit. Sincerely. 3 years later people may have changed their minds. Wouldn't it be better to organize a new referendum as a 'double check'?

Of course a new referendum would clear the air. The bigots would vote the same. But leave voters are better inform today about the consequences of making decisions based on media lies, nationalism and the woes of Tory party. Many have change their minds about leaving.

For many the choice that they would make today would be based on the welfare of the nation as a whole and not on nationalistic bravado, media lies and the wishes of some 180.000 members of the Tory Party who want to leave..

I have NOT changed my mind - voted to leave IMMEDIATELY and have no contact with the EU at all (close all our borders, everything that is produced on this island MUST stay on the island).

Democracy is broken, the fact that even though brexit is causing great damage to the UK, most who voted for it don't see any problem at all.

Most intelligent people would reflect on what's happening to the UK because of brexit and may come to a conclusion they've made a mistake.

When you have the ignorant driving the bus, you people are in big trouble.

Sincerely. The Queen should just restore the British Empire by raising the standard over all of the Commonwealth Nations and grab back Hong Kong from the horrible Communist Chinese. It was irresponsible to give the people of Hong Kong, human beings who had lived for 99 years under British democracy, over to the monsters who run Mainland China with torture, persecution of Christians, and Human Rights Abuses like Tienenman Square. For it is possible to carry the "letter of the law" too far, as when Stalin returned escaping Jews to Hitler, who exterminated them all, man, woman and child. Legalities be damned when it means handing over the hapless citizens of Hong Kong to a regime such as China. What China had become in those 99 years was worse than what Germany became under the Nazis and it was damned irresponsible and a crime against Humanity to hand them over just because a 99 year lease was up. She should have refused to honour it and had it out right then, I mean what were the Totalitarian rulers of Mainland China going to do, torpedo the Queen Elizabeth Two. Now we have a situation where Mainland China has facial recognition cameras everywhere and has interned all ethnic minorities and dissenters in gulags to be brainwashed into the largest Han army in history, and plans on extraditing and forcibly grabbing Hong Kong citizens into its penal system for torture on the Mainland. The Vogon PM Basil is China's rentboy pandering to the Communists for their well-timed trade deal so that the people of Hong Kong are left defenceless. Brexit should not even be addressed. Brexit should be ignored utterly. It shall have become a moot point in the restoration of the British Empire and the re-taking of Hong Kong by a combination of British war ships and the people of Hong Kong themselves. Brussels and the European Union do not even deserve as much as the courtesy of a reply, or ever being told whether Britain is leaving the EU or not. Just bloody well ignore them. Up the British Empire!

The Brexit referendum has served its purpose...

It has exposed to every citizen in the UK what they probably suspected anyway...

That the biggest problems that the UK faces has not come from the EU but the British MPs who represent us across ALL parties.

There are some exceptions but they are rare.

We need to revoke Article 50.

Change our relationship with the EU using the German model.

And sack most, if not all of our present Parliament.

Note, you cannot keep having recounts until you get the response you want. Brexit passed. That's it!

No need to keep having General Elections then either? When did they last get it right... 1979 was it?

What then? If the result is the same, we have another 3 years of achieving nothing. If the result is different, are Brexiteers not then entitled to a best of three? You had a choice, you made it.

Unless we limit voting to qualifications or maybe put a quiz on the start of the ballot paper, we have to accept people with "limited knowledge" will be voting on things they don't really understand. That is democracy.

The problem in the UK isn't the referendum result. The problem is that the Conservative party has to deliver Brexit or it will never be trusted again. It has to honour its pledge or the party will collapse. Brexit is now tied with the future of that party.

This is why Boris Johnson really has no choice but to start the process of a hard Brexit. The EU aren't going to renegotiate the backstop, the British don't like it because it forces them to solve the problem and they haven't come up with anything else after three years (some vague mutterings about technology don't cut it when talking about maintaining the most successful international peace agreement in modern times) so hard Brexit is the only option that allows the Tories to survive.
