Not if I don't have to, but a mere walk on a food item... vs. having to eat a cockroach itself... is mild in comparison.

If I would have eaten it anyway, I wouldn't balk just because a roach went over it. Insect collecting (entomology) was my hobby when I was younger, and I learned that 1 fly has more dangerous germs than 100 cockroaches.

I was also food-insecure for short periods in my life, and wasn't above eating something thrown away by someone else, like food a stranger didn't finish at a restaurant. Although admittedly, trash can food didn't seem to have bugs on it - probably because they change those bags pretty often.

Oh heck no! That’s so nasty since all the bacteria from the roach was on it.
