What do you think of an anonymous “compliment box” at work where people write anon compliments to colleagues? To be read at weekly meetings?
It’s to promote “good vibes “ at work says boss & a work based compliment, though some have personal ones written too
Is it fair?
What if some miss out on a compliment?
Would you be hurt if you didnt get one

Nope. It would eventually succumb to office politics where the popular ones get complimented most even though their work sucks. Plus, people might coerce to compliment each other so that the boss would take notice of them.

It makes me puke and it sounds pretty patronizing. I would balance it by out with an "insult box" where people write anonymous insults to the boss or HR "professional" or whatever Pollyanna came up with this kindergarten "feel good" practice. Also to be read at weekly meetings.

Sounds awful. Childish and embarrassing.
