The Dravidians were pushed down further south in India after the Aryans came. WHy couldn't they stop the Aryans and repel their invasion?

It's not clear there was an organized invasion by an army or armies. It may have been a case of infiltration, immigration and conflict with people already living there. The historical events are very murky, as neither side kept written records at the time. The 'Aryans' had chariots and horses, which was probably an advantage in armed conflict.
