Ants evolved from a flying insect closely related to bees. Both are closely related enough to be classified within the order Hymenoptera. Ants do not become bees within their lifetimes. Ants and bees simply share a common ancestor, along with wasps and sawflies.

I would think it's the other way around since the bee populations are sadly dropping.

First they have to spend a lot of time in therapy to make sure they actually want to be bees. Then they live like bees and take bee vitamins, and when they're ready to take the final step they get a stinger added. Sadly the stinger doesn't work and they won't ever really be bees no matter how much they wish it so. But they'll make us pretend to believe they're bees anyway. The end.

very Very VERY late in life. Watch and you might see them morph into a bee , but you have to watch closely and hold your breath
