Why do republicans and Christians hate science so much?

Update:

Note: saying you don't hate science then pointing out large areas of proven science you disagree with doesn't count as not hating it.

Members of Trump's base tend to believe Trump's uneducated opinions as being the word of god. Also, some religious leaders discourage higher education in order to keep their flocks dumb.

Republicans do not hate science, but they do not worship it. For instance I have little doubt there's global warming. assuming the statistics are accurate. I just think we have no proof how much if any that we people have to do with it. After all, if you believe science, we've been going through various climate cycles for thousands or millions of years. Now suddenly everything that happens weather wise is we humans fault. Possibly...maybe......but I'm not convinced.

They don't. The evidence found through scientific methods is INTERPRETED by people. Each person interprets it based on their presuppositions.

Take climate change. We've only been able to measure actual temperatures for the last 100 or so years. Prior to that, there's no measured data. From the measurements, we see fluctuations in climate while people industrialized.

We show in the earth layers of cooling and warming periods. So, does this data show that people are the cause of climate change? Or does this show that the earth goes through trends?

If you're a democrat, you'll say the data shows humans are massively contributing to climate change. If you're a republican, you'll say that we don't have enough data to arrive at that conclusion.

Republicans nor Christians HATE science. Republicans rely on science. Christians can't rely on science because it conflicts with their religious beliefs.

Not so hard to understand after all.

What science do you rely on exactly? The science that says the earth is flat? Or that the entire universe is only 6,000 years old? Or the science that says homosexuals are sinners and can be cured through prayer? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Scientists used to think the earth was flat and were later proven wrong. Science is only as accurate as the education and instruments used during the time. Intelligent people simply realize that so called “proven facts” accepted today may actually be proven false at some point. And the simple fact that science has proven that the earth had extreme climate changes prior to human existence, questions the amount of influence humans have on climate today. So why are you ignoring those scientific facts??

Well we believe there are only 2 genders. And that life begins at conception. 2 of the most basic scientific concepts the party of science refuses to acknowledge.
