Smoking pot can result in some abnormal cardiac occurrences that are at least temporary. I had a patient that had an audible murmur when smoking pot & another who had higher than normal BP reading s when smoking pot.

Cannabis is generally considered a drug of low toxicity. Although attention has focused on its neuropsychiatric effects, little has been given to cardiovascular side effects. No Sign Pot Smoking Triggers Irregular Heartbeat. Further, marijuana users appeared to have lower rates of atrial fibrillation, an irregular rhythm in the upper chambers of the heart (the atria). Half as many pot users had atrial fibrillation, about 4.5 percent compared with 8.7 percent of nonusers. Atrial fibrillation increases a person's risk of stroke and heart attack.
