    GMO is not harmful.

it is a paranoid fantasy that has gained cult status.

it is a serious effort to produce grain that will grow in those areas with less than favorable conditions. when the population of africa is around 1.5 billion and expected to 4-billion by the end of this century, people have to look ahead for faster modification, then gregor mendel would have understood.

All wheat grown is genetically modified. GM has gone on since farming began.

The reason GM wheat was never brought to market is not an issue of safety, but one of economics, experts say. For the United States, wheat is a highly exported commodity, and there was concern that if the country started growing GM wheat rather than natural wheat, the U.S. would lose global market share because the demand for the GM product wasn't there, said Margaret Smith, professor of plant breeding and genetics at Cornell University.

Not harmful at all, people have been eating GM products for 20 years. Most GMs are gene knockouts anyway. BT cotton is no different to spraying cotton with BT crystals which is allowed in Organic growing. In fact the origin of GM research was to do good, but got diverted by capitalism, monsanto round up ready, and that is all people think about now. The right wing media and facebook fake news brigade then ran with ONE story, it is like if one medicine turned out to have negative side effects so therefore you ban ALL pharmaceuticals and synthetic medicine!

Here are some examples of good GM:

BT cotton, stops the need to blanket spray pesticides, restores the pyramid of life

No evidence of harmful, perhaps not the full health benefit, and my observation, taste like shiit over natural organic.

IE: people today may have never eaten carrots that really have the taste and texture of organic.

Point of GMO crops is faster growth, bumper crops and most no longer need pollination putting bees out of work and for nothing but the extra tonnage per acre for more profits.

Mexico was using hormones in poultry, that in turn was causing infertility and health issues in humans.

Most likely not. The potential problems with GM are in realms other than straightforward healthy versus unhealthy to eat.

of course they know it is bad . GMO give allergies to people who never had them before and by the third generation of eating GMO fertility rates go down to 0 % .

No one knows. But I hope you DO know that many foods we eat today we "naturally genetically modified". (The corn we eat today is markedly larger than the corn of 6000 years ago, and things like strawberries and apples have changed - for the better -n the last 300 years.)

Nobody knows. Probably not. The problem with GMOS is that they result in a mono-culture that is easily wiped out by a disease, fungus, etc.
