    Your mouse is done for.

A screwdriver will just allow you to open the mouse. To fix what's inside, you still need at least a soldering gun and some soldering wire. Ideally, you need a replacement switch for the one that's acting up but you can just take off the one under the wheel and use that to replace the broken one.

Buy a new mouse. It's easier and cheaper. A decent one comes for $4. You may find one even cheaper.

See your mouse driver is current first.

Under mouse properties, you can select mouse over to select files, click to open-OR- click select, double click to open.

You can adjust the double click speed to suit you.

If none of the above fix your issues, your mouse is broke, or beginning to fail.

Why would you need a screwdriver if you bought a new mouse?

You can adjust the clicking with the driver software.

But mouses (mice?) are so cheap they are not worth repairing.

    It is worn out.

Buy a new mouse, they are pennies.
