No, it depends on the letter that your last name begins with.

They used to but now payments are spread throughout the month. You get yours on about the day of the month you were born.

Nobody gets online payments. They get checks or direct deposit to their bank. Direct deposit is NOT online. If YOU have online banking, then you can access your payment as soon as it shows up in your account.

Long-time retirees are grandfathered into the old system of payments on the 3rd of the month. SS Disability is paid on the first. From the time the payment system was changed to your payday being based on your birth day, payments are made the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. If you were born the 1st - 10th, it's the 2nd Weds. 11th - 20th, 3rd Weds. 21st - 31st, 4th Weds.

No.  Some social security beneficiaries receive their benefits on the 3rd of the month.  Others receive them on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month depending upon their DAY of birth.  SSI beneficiaries (SSI isn't social security) are paid on the 1st of the month.  When the 1st or 3rd falls on a weekend or national holiday then they are paid the first workday before.

That covers WHEN people get their benefits.  HOW they get them is also different.  Most have direct deposit into their bank accounts.  Some use direct express cards.  Very few receive paper checks.

Your understanding of who gets what when is wrong.  What applies to YOUR benefits doesn't necessarily apply to others.

For example,  people who get their SS benefits on the 3rd either signed up for social security before 1997 OR SSI is or was somehow involved. And yes, there are people who aren't due their SS benefits until the middle of the month - and some people even have to wait until the last week of the month.  It's been that way since  1997.

If a person gets BOTH social security AND SSI they will receive the SSI on the 1st and the SS on the 3rd.  They are NOT due the same day.  Why don't you  just get a statement from social security as to when YOUR benefits are due and show it to your LL?

No. First, there are no "online" payments. Direct deposits occur at different times of the month.

    No, they don't.

However SSI recipients all get it on the first day of the month

No, it's staggered throughout the month based on your date of birth.  An example:

If you're born on the 7th you might receive automatic deposit on the second Wednesday of the month.

If you're born on the 21st you might receive payment the fourth Wednesday of each month.
