no, because going to church no more makes someone a christian than sitting in a garage makes someone a car

A Christian obeys Jesus. HE said love one another, by this all will know that you are my disciples John 13:34-35

I'll let the Bible answer your question.
(Hebrews 10:25) not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24 & 25 gives the scriptural answer.
Jesus did not isolate himself or did his followers they were always gathering together for spiritual encouragement and association. This kept them on the right track and close to their God, contributing to their unity.
Also being as one in their beliefs, they shared their Faith with their neighbors and everyone they could. That is a real Christian.
Unfortunately there are not many Real Christians Today. But if you see people preaching the scriptures publicly men, women and children that is a sign in the right direction.....

Of course not - millions of people became Christians without going to any Christian meetings or church services of worship. However, once a person has become a Christian, their whole life changes, their priorities change and they desire to worship God and to learn more about Him, so that's where meeting with fellow Christians is a tremendous help. Any person claiming to be a Christian but who chooses to disregard meeting with others, for worship, needs a jolly good reason - like there not being a congregation of Christians with whom he or she can meet, or being bedridden - that sort of thing.

No, but if you don't follow the teaching and guidance of one Christian church or another, you are basically a one person denomination, believing whatever you want to believe.

Do you have to be a car to stand in a garage? You can attend Church every Sunday and attend all meetings in the world the rest of your life and still not be a Christian.
