For America to become a great and wealthy nation, was the exuberance and disparity of the Victorian age justified?

I'm not sure that anything that happened in the British empire during Victoria's reign had an impact on America becoming wealthy.  America's wealth is primarily the result of most of Europe being destroyed during WWI and WWII.

Victoria reigned over the United Kingdom and the British Dominions between 1837 and 1901.  How was her age even linked to American "exuberance and disparity" whatever that means?

Starting with the dichotomy of "exuberance and disparity", what does that even mean?.

That sounds more like a philisophical, more personal version, question, and not a general homework one.
