I think the better question is how would you stop your child from having friends of the opposite sex? Ya can't be with him/her all day everyday

Most fifteen year-olds have friends of the opposite sex. I can't choose my children's friends.

Of course.  I would want my child to have friends of both sexes.

They'll probably end up having sex like every other "cool" kid

  • Why wouldn't they be able to have friends of the opposite sex at any age?  Your job as a parent is to prepare your child for life.  By selecting who they can socialize with, solely on the basis of that person's genitalia, you're effectively hampering their ability to interact in meaningful ways with other people when they're adults.  In other words, you're a bad parent.
