If i read a textbook over and over again for an exam will i remember it word for word?

if i keep reading the same pages for months and months?

    Memory works on reinforcement. Rereading anything reinforces that memory. You may not remember word for word but you should remember enough for an exam.

    That depends on your specific learning style.

    For me, writing down notes always worked better than repeatedly reading over something because I would remember it better.

    It sounds like a good idea, if you can keep it up. A friend knew someone in college who would use a black marker to obliterate all the words in a text book as soon as he read them, in order to put pressure on himself to remember the words.
