Jesus exists and is God. A person can know these things with certainty by way of having true devotion to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary.

Both are forms of a primitive way of thinking, tribalism.

Of course it is. Nationalism is a form of idolatry because it's the worship of the nation state. It's simply just the modern version of what you see in the Book of Daniel when Nebuchadnezzar decreed that the whole Empire bowed down to a statue of himself. The statue symbolized not only the personal cult of the Babylonian emperor, but the ideology of the nation state that had to be worshipped.

Actually, Christianity Is a distortion of nationalism.

The Romans enforced Nationalism, AKA Christianity, with the sword.

Believe in Jesus or die, now!

This led to the Dark Ages.

  • No, it just exploits it.

Nationalism tends to use "tribes" to push it's case. Belonging to a religion can feel like belonging to a tribe and Nationalism can then be used to exploit the "them versus us" feeling.

And it's not just Christianity. All religions can be susceptible.
