Does multiculturalism kill the Western Civilization?
- 8 months agoFavourite answer
Nah. Westerners have done the most killing.

Of course not. It's been multicultural for a long time. And it is not dying, but continues to grow. The west is more civilized and has a higher standard of living than ever before.

Americanisation and capitalist globalisation are killing cultures east and west
- Nite🎯wlLv 68 months ago
It made it more powerful. Western civilization colonized the world and assimilated non-western cultures. What's killing the west is modern degeneration, unhealthy habits, and uncontrolled greed... not non-western cultures who will co-exist with western cultures, most of which are traditional cultures compared to modern western culture which is why western culture is on a suicidal path.

India and Iran and China have been multicultural for literally thousands of years. They seem to be doing OK.

No. As it turns out, a global economy kills the West. The West can accommodate any number of cultures, internally - they have no significant effect upon it, since the West is defined by economics more than by any other factor. But the West depends upon being the strongest economy so it can bend other economies to its purposes. When global trade allows China to contest the West's domination, the West will fracture, and cease to be, as a political/economic/cultural model.
Western Civilisation (arising from Greece, the Middle East, and the rest of the Mediterranean) will continue to exist, as it has during its many previous eclipses.

No. Overpopulation is what's going to kill life on the planet as we know it.
