Is there any alternative to a blood test. Is there something that is painless and will give you the same results?

For some tests yes, but not all.

    Source(s): urinalysis, sputum, etc.

Not really. I had a blood test yesterday and I barely felt it. It helps if you're thin and the veins are easy for the doctor to see. I am very thin and have very little body fat and my veins bulge. My doctor pushed the needle in and there was a tiny scratch and all done. It also depends on the doctor, too.

No; there's no alternative to a blood test. They have to draw a sample of your blood, in order to test it.  Don't be a baby!  A blood test doesn't cause pain. It's not even as bad as getting a shot.

No, sorry. All you can do is not look at the needle and try not to cry. Good luck.

Nope.  There are some individual things that could be tested from a urine sample or a swap, but the information from a CBC blood panel isn't available except by testing the blood.

You must have a low pain threshold.
