when do I add oil on a 2011 Toyota camry 4 cylindar?

    Check the dipstick about once a month and if the level is in the operating range you can leave it alone. If it drops to the low end of the operating range or below that mark on the dipstick, then add a half quart or as needed to bring it up to full or inside the operating range marks.

    When the oil level on the dipstick falls below halfway between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick!

    ....when it ever gets 1 quart low or more. That goes for most cars. Check the dipstick. Get someone show you how to do that.

    Whenever you pull the dipstick and it reads "LOW".

    There is a full mark, and a low mark on the stick.
