Can Trump declare "martial law" to prevent himself from being impeached, or removed from office?

    Not according to the Constitution.  With a Republican senate majority, he's unlikely to be removed from office anyway.  

    LOL - if he wants to guarantee being removed from office, he should try this.   Declaring martial law.

  • He could try, I suppose, but nobody would follow him on it.  Even his sycophants in the Senate would, in the cause for self-preservation, put an end to such a declaration.  That's why the powers are separated like they are.
