How to clear everything from an iPad without a passcode?

    You will need to put the iPad in DFU mode (plenty of instructions online) and restore it with iTunes on your PC. This will erase everything off of it and install the latest iOS version for that model. Note: If you have Find my iPad enabled, you will need to enter the Apple ID in order to continue with the setup.

    Easy. You can’t. 

    But all data on all iOS devices is encrypted by default, and if you lock the device with too many passcode attempts then the iPad has to be restored. That wipes all data and replaces it with a backup copy. The passcode is part of the decryption key for that device, so once the machine no longer will accept the passcode all of the existing encrypted stored data becomes useless.
