If you plead guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana charge, can you still get it expunged?

My brother got arrested for misdemeanor marijuana last night in Texas, I really don’t want him to have this on his record. I don’t know if he she plead not guilty and hire a state attorney or just admit guilt to a small amount of marijuana.

Depends on TX law. Shouldn't matter if you plead guilty or were found guilty.

I mean,w at evidence do they have? Did he have the weed on him? If the answer is yes, then pleading not guilty is fairly insulting to the court. He got caught, he had the weed, what is the point of saying he didn't?

Again, he needs to hire an attorney if he wants to get this dropped or deferred. The attorney will tell him how to plead.
