I uninstalled Virtual Audio Cables, but they still appear as options in my Sound menu and in Audacity?

I installed them to use with OBS almost 2 years ago, which I've used like once, and sometime between then and now I uninstalled pretty much everything related to them besides OBS itself. Even though all the files for them are gone, they still appear in my sound output menu and in applications like Audacity. How can I get them to disappear for good?

    reinstall the programs.

it may be a registry setting, and you do NOT want to mess with that when you don't know what you're doing! dangerous. better to just reinstall Windows. that is much simpler.
