will windows defender protect me from all malware?

including the ones on the deep web

    Nope, there's no anti-virus or anti-malware soft ware that is 100% effective.

    No..you need something stronger. Avoid going to websites you don't know. Don't go clicking on links you're unfamiliar with. Don't download from sites that you've near heard of. I use Kaspersky Internet Security, & my technician strongly recommends it as well. It's easy to use, & is like have an armed guard on your system.

    No it will not.   Windows Security (Defender) is an Anti Virus program and does not check for some types of Malware.

    You should install MALWAREBYTES as it is a anti  Malware program.

    A computer Virus is one type of Malware.

    It might catch 50% of them.  This is true for ALL malware detecting programs.  Your habits matter WAY WAY more than a program.

    No antivirus/antimalware program is 100% effective. It is still prudent to use good computer security practices even if you have antivirus program installed.

    No, far from it.  Technically nothing can 100% protect you from malware, but commercial products from Norton and Mcafee do a pretty good job as long as the use doesn't do stupid things.
