Which species of monkey or ape would survive in California and become invasive species if they were introduced there?

Possibly baboons and similar species.  Possibly rhesus macaques and Barabary macaques too.

The deal here is that there isn't a lot of nice edible stuff that looks like monkey food now.  You're going to end up with a situation where tourists feed the monkeys and the monkeys become pests.

I would guess Japanese macaques since they tolerate the extreme coldness in Japan, and I think that they would adapt really well in the cold parts of California that are similar to their native range.
