    frequency x lambda = velocity

    f λ = v

    (7 x 10^14) x  λ = (3 x 10^8)

     λ = (3/7) x 10^-6 = 428.6 nm

    Violet light (and all light) travels 299,792,458 meters per second in vacuum. Just divide that distance into 7E14 parts. In air, light is 0.03% slower, but your frequency value is not that precise.

    Simple calc.  Include your units and convert if needed.

    c = lambda*nu =>

    lambda = (3.00 x 10^8 m/s)/(7 x 10^14 s^(-1))

    = (3/7) x 10^(-6) m = 428 nm
