If the USPS keeps raising shipping costs every year will we eventually have to pay $5 to even ship first class packages?

Yes.  At the same time, minimum wage will be around $50 per hour.

Yeah, but a hamburger will be $10 and a small house will cost 1 million, so we won't care so much.

If you think they're too much, feel free to use UPS or FedEx.  The PO is losing money.  People no longer write letters, and use online bill pay instead of mailing their bills.  Thus they raise prices.  Why is this a shocker??

Try $5 for a first class letter.

That’s because republicans in Congress have been trying to drive the USPS out of business. They made it have to show that it has enough money in the bank right now to pay for the retirement benefits for every employee for the next 200 years.

Do they ever lower their prices or just raise them.
