    Change the transmission fluid every 60,000 miles.

    Why take the chance?  Transmission service is about $100 or less.

    Yup, 2 to 5 years is a good time frame. 25K miles max. Your owners manual might say something stupid like, "Hey! Guess what? You never have to service your tranny!" That's the money comment the tranny repair shops love to hear.
