Why are so many software products using Yellow, Green, Blue, Red squares for their logos? (I.E.: Windows, AVG, Piriform's defragger)?

Psychology of marketing--human brain accepts pleasing shapes on a more basic level than most realize--

Hard geometric shape like a square inspires confidence by appearing solid, unbending, dependable.

Round ones seem to be more inclusive, enveloping but still controlled.

Then there are the biology shapes to inspire motion (winglike swoosh of Adidas) or happiness (smile of Amazon).

You are bombarded hundreds of times every day by skilled advertising messages from expert craftsmen.
