I am sorry about you not having a dad, that must be hard. But I can assure you, not everyone hates you. Confide in a family member, like your mom (or guardian), maybe a school counselor. You don’t have to go through this alone, there are those who care and want to help.

Still being shy is not easy, I know from experience, but there are some things you can do to become more outgoing despite being shy, or even overcome shyness. Check out the following links for tips and advice that has helped me and others become more confident and outgoing …

I wasn’t hated by everyone. I was actually the most popular guy i school. I have an older sister who would protect me from bullies and i have a dad (not sure what that has to do with anything) but i used to write a lot. And when i say that i mean on my computer. It was something i did at school. I would type up my feelings and keep a journal. I kept one for every school day for 6 years. It helped me. I could draw whatever i wanted and thinking of designs helped me. Drawing and writing i guess...more artistic outlets helped me more than anything else...or i suppose my sister was my biggest help. I can tell her anything, even today and she doesn’t have to say a word to make me feel better, we can just talk for hours and knowing she’s there to help was always nice. I guess having that one solid friend is all you really need
