what makes an work of art original?

    That it is finished and someone passing by says "MY MY HAROLD, HOW ORIGINAL." AND BADONKADOINK. That is it.

    A painting is original if it was conceived and painted by the artist. A lithograph is original if it is numbered 1 through 10 (e.g. 9/750 for a run of 750 copies).

    A work of art is original when it's not based off of any other already existing piece of art.
