Camping in Yosemite?

On the website yosemite national park says you cant sleep in your car, if I were to park in a parking lot and cover my windows, how would they tell if someone is sleeping inside. Can I get away with it, because idk how they would tell if someone is inside. Also, how do you pay for the campsites, where do you pay

The reason for it because there are bears around and they will rip the doors off the car if they think there is food in there.  See the sign.  To pay there are ranger gate station going into the campsites.  Even the non-reserve camps have them.  If you don't pay at night then pay in the morning or leaving.  There are helpers that patrol the camp ground that keep things in order( ie quiet after 10pm and everything in the food lockers).
