How do I have joy when I can't even have a family reunion or travel this summer because of the Coronavirus shut downs?

I wanted so badly to travel and now I cannot presumably cause everything has restrictions and shut downs. Also, my annual family gathering is likely off or postponed until fall since thins will be on lock down all summer (it was scheduled for last weekend in June).

So how can I find joy this summer when I can't do what I love?

You are one amongst many millions.

Some have so little they could not afford to travel even if there were no restrictions.

Switch focus from self to others and you may gain a new perspective.

Joy is internal, not dependent on circumstances

None of us can do anything we love. Deal with it. This life is hell.

Maybe visit people privately that you would have seen at the reunion and plan a trip for when the Coronavirus is over. Many say it should be over by the 2nd half of the summer.
