What was the initial problem the Doolittle Raid faced?

There were many.  Bombers taking off from an aircraft carrier had never been done before.  Getting close enough was an issue when Japan controlled much of the Pacific.  And then finding a place to land again was a big problem.  It was amazing that they pulled it off with such low loss of life of the crews.  It was an amazing feat of logistics and bravery, and one of my favourite stories of the war.  Bravo America!
