    Favourite answer

    Dan Aykroyd.

    Honorable Mention: Phil Hartman (RIP)

I think what I liked about them is that they both could do a lot of different kind of things.  Belushi was funny, but he could really only do characters that were ...Belushi-like.  Chevy Chase really had a type as did Murray and so on.  I feel like Aykroyd and Hartman could largely take whatever character they needed to be and make that funny.  Sure they had they're particular style...but they were more adaptable.

Bill Hader used to be hilarious and make every sketch he was in funny just by his faces and voice. But everyone’s answer is going to be different depending on when they watched.

Kate McKinnon. She does so great as all the various political figures she satires.

Phil Hartman - he would have been an enduring star if his wife hadn't killed him.

Yeah, Murphy and Belushi.  Ackyrod was good too. (I stopped watching after Murphy left).
