What's that fancy word for asking someone to "run down" something? or to explain?

Does anyone know that fancy word that starts with an E I think, it's something like evaluate (not that) but it's similar. I've heard it before and it's very fancy.

E.x when you need someone to explain what they meant, further explanation.

It's on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember.

Expound upon?  Elaborate? Embellish? Elucidate? Expatiate? Enlarge?

Elucidate?   That means to make something clearer.

This has more to do with numbers, like data and statistics. Rather than just a verbal explanation.

    But maybe, extrapolate?

I don't know how fancy it is, but maybe "elaborate" is the word you're thinking of.
