Can the Bari Sax play the 2nd Alto Sax Parts?

    The bari and the alto are both Eb saxes.  But the bari is an octave lower.  So you would need to play up an octave, and that is going to get tiring.  And the tone is not going to be exactly the same, either. I am a professional flutist in NYS, and also play bass flute in concerts, as a soloist with piano.  I always am looking for really good flute literature that "works" on the bass.  Not all does . . . And yes, the bass flute can play just as fast and cleanly as the concert flute - larger instruments are NOT inherently slower and stuffier!

    Not without them being transcribed as the instruments are in two different keys.

      Nope - both in Eb.  Soprano and tenor sax are in Bb.  So is bass sax, which you seldom see / sounds like the arrival of a cruise ship.
