Four counts of attempted murder, equals how many years in prison?

This question is in regards to Samantha Shader, a 27-years-old, who is accused of throwing the petrol bomb at the NYPD vehicle - which had four officers inside - in Crown Heights, NY.

Samantha Shader is not from New York City but from Catskill, NY.

The lit bottle did not explode, and no officers were injured.

If found guilty,  how many years in prison is Samantha Shader looking to receive?

Thank you in advance! Please post as much knowledge on this subject as possible with facts for best answers!

How many years in prison depends on what the judge says ..

If the sentences are to be served 'concurrently' then 4 counts of 15 years is 15 years.

If the sentences are to be served 'consecutively' then 4 counts of 15 years is 60 years.

Way more than a 3rd degree murder charge.

She was charged with ONE count of Causing Damage by Fire and Explosives to a Police Vehicle. This is a federal charge. NYPD wanted to charge her with four counts of attempted murder but they did not get what they wanted. The feds stepped in and took over the case. The penalty for a conviction is not less than five years or more than 20 years, under US Code Title 18 § 844.  Because there were officers in the vehicle, the potential is not less than 7 or more than 40.

She is going to get at least 20 years

for the  firebombing of an police vehicle and the attempted murder of Cops. NYS isn't doing the prosecution of this crime it's the fed's and they hand down long sentences.  Not like NYS and California.

she has the boldness and prettiness that if she also has some brains, prison will turn her into a formidable foe. remember that name if she's reasonably smart.

The thing is that generally speaking multiple homicides in the same incident generally carry a concurrent sentence, meaning that although there will be a sentence of 15-life on each count, all four counts are served out at the same time, unless the court specifies a consecutive sentence. The rules for consecutive sentencing are rather complicated.

If they were not cops. she wouldn't have to serve any jail sentence.

But since they are cops, she will go to prison for a very long long time.

At LEAST 80 years total.  But if you want FACTS, why do you not look it up yourself.  Or would that be a violation of your parole to do so?
