    (50 mi)/(1 h) = (50*5280ft)/(3600sec) = (50*5280*{0.3048}/3600)(m/s) = 22.352(m/s).

    50 mph = 50 miles/h *1.6093 km/mile =  80.465 km/h

    80.465 km/h = 80,465 m/h / 3600 sec/h = 22.35 m/sec

    50 mph is about 80 km/h, divided by 3.6 equals to a little over 22 m/s

By definition there are2.54 cm in an inch.  So work out the number of inches in a mile. Then multiply by 2.54 to get cm and divide by 100 to get metres.  Finally work out the number of seconds in an hour and divide by that to get the metres in a second. ( 50 * 12 * 3 * 22 * 10 * 8 * 2.54 / 100 / ( 60*60) )  = 22.352 m/s precisely

Anonymous. If I am expected to know how a vehicle can run on gas, or how you can attach a trunk to a motorized carriage then you could be expected to know what a lorry is. I even know that "cream" has no fat content and the difference between "wet" and "dry" coffee.
