    Hydrogen Ion Concentration----  Low pH is ACIDIC (Think Acid) and HIGH pH is Alkaline, (Think Lye)  Neutral is around 7 (cant remember might be 5)

    pH = - log(10)[H^+]

    the 'H' stands for hydrogen ion content.

    the 'p' stands for the logarithm to base '10'.  NB The 'p' is ALWAYS written in lower case, NOT a capital letter 'P'.

    He's the guy who proposed the concept.

    It's pH

    pH is a measure of acidity or alkalinity. It is an abbreviation for "Power of Hydrogen".

    14 is strong alkaline

    9-10 or so is weak alkaline

    7 is neutral

    3-4 is weak acid

    0 is strong acid

    pH is a scale used to measure acidity. It stands for “potential for hydrogen”

    It just means acidity. If you want a lower ph, you want to make your chemical more acidic. Use a universal indicator to test it.
