What size wire is required for a 25 amp double pole breaker for a central AC unit?

    internet search will answer this.  assume the distance is less than 50 feet [15 meters] unless you know it is longer.  always use larger wire size if in doubt.  [note: in north america, the answer is same for 220v double pole and 100v single pole ... what matters is the breaker size -- 25 amps]  -- Grampa

    Assuming it's a 240V circuit, the above table says 10 gauge for up to 50'.  For up to 100', you want 6 gauge.
