Why do I pick at my skin?

I don’t have anxiety, and I don’t get stressed. However I spend hours a day picking at my skin, until it bleeds.

    You are the only one that knows the reasons you choose to pick your skin.  Figure it out by thinking about your behavior and what you are thinking or feeling when you  get the urge to pick.  Then observe what you are thinking or feeling right after you pick. Chances are you are getting some type of relief from picking, but maybe its just an idle habit that you need to break by policing your behavior.  Once you become aware of the motives for the behavior its a lot easier to intervene and redirect your thoughts and behavior when you get the urge to pick.  It just takes awareness,  discipline, and the desire to stop.  .
