our office is reopening post covid 19 shutdown, should I allow employees to store their lunch in shared refrigerator?

Bad idea. Everyone who touches the handle is taking a risk. And apparently, COVID’s favourite temperature is 4c.

The possibility of contracting Covid from surfaces is actually very low as the CDC recently corrected. I don't think there's a problem so long as everyone's lunch is in its own container.

As long as you are practicing social distancing while in the breakroom then you should be compliant. Maybe eat at your desk or something if you're able instead of at the communal table.

The fridge is fine, just should not eat in the break room together.
