Adding satin to jenga blocks? ?

I’m trying to paint on my jenga blocks to create a drinking game with acrylic paint. However, I noticed that when I painted both sides, it creates a rough texture and makes it impossible to move the jenga blocks when playing. If I add coats of satin on the painted jenga blocks will it help with the issue. Or it will make it too easy considering it will make it too slippery.

I would wash it off and only paint the end grain. They need to slide to make the game effective.

You should only paint the ends or sides of the block so the tops and bottoms are still very smooth and easy to extract.
