I applied for unemployment with a claim date of 4/26. I stopped working March 17th, ?

however I didn't apply until April 26th like I mentioned. Am I still entitled to unemployment benefits back to that date? The 600/week as well? I live in New Jersey, I'm a gig worker who does music therapy at different senior facilities (all closed because of covid).

 Thanks!

Ordinarily, no.  Benefits normally aren't allowed for any week before the week you first applied.  However, if you tried to apply earlier and couldn't get through, then stop states will make exceptions.
