Does this time and attendance policy incentivize employees to call out of their shift if they are going to arrive late?
Employees earn paid time off each day that they work.
If they arrive late to their shift, it’s one infraction. After 5 infractions, you get written up. You get written up for each infraction after that, until being fired on the 8th total infraction.
If you call out of your shift, and you have enough time off to cover the number of hours you’re calling out of, it doesn’t count as an infraction.
Paid time off cannot be used to prevent being late from counting as an infraction.
Also, calling out of your shift is weighed the same as being 1 minute late.
