Will all this extra hand washing and hygiene lower our resistance to other diseases?

Our immune systems need to be able to fight other things we are exposed to and if we use all this anti bacterial stuff we won't build up any immunity.

That is actually a very good question.  I suppose only time will tell.  It takes a significant amount of time to correlate actual data, so this will have to be monitored in order to see results.

I think the second covid 'surge' is a result of people getting complacent and not washing their hands as they were when all this first started.

No, but it will make your skin less resistant to physical abrasions and cuts. Definitely wear gloves for gardening and car mechanic work now.

    No. Will make it stronger.

Obviously, since we're destroying all those "good" bacteria and microorganisms we need to live. Insane.
