How common is it for Americans to visit Birmingham England???

Rare, very rare. I cannot imagine why an American would want to go to Birmingham here in the UK. Do not get me wrong it is a very nice city but it is not a tourist city. The only reason that comes to mind would be a case of the American tracing family history.
Edit - just thought of a reason a tourist would go to Birmingham, if they were using it as a base and went to visit Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry and other places in the area. I still think it would be rare.

Not sure, but I doubt it's a tourist hot spot for Americans. I live 20 miles south of Birmingham and never heard any Americans in my town.
